  Opening the EP, this first track in a series of three is a perfect reminder of what makes SFV Acid’s sound so special. With just a handful of elements, the producer creates a track carefully balanced between deepness and immediate danceability, thanks to a stripped down drum kit and a bouncy beat, carefully sequenced acid basslines, lush pads and sweet leads.

  Carrying on the 125bpm_atnight triptych, this second tune relies on the interplay between two analog synths, the instantly recognizable TB 303 on one hand and an unnamed synth of a vintage persuasion on the other. Their modulations carry the track with heartfelt pads giving it a particularly emotional feel and efficient drum programming that is never overpowering and always dance-inducing.

  On this cut, a raw and punchy rhythmic section is at the foreground with drums that belong to the jackin’ category. Add dubby chords as well as layered TB basslines and you get a simply irresistible slab of slinky acid tailored for the dancefloor.

  On the flipside, Pettycluber is a sound to behold. With lovely pads, initially stripped down drums, not one but two endearing acid squelches and a somewhat melancholic lead, there is also a lot of emotion on this track. As it progresses, the drums gain in intensity and when this short track is over, it’s hard not to put the needle back to its starting point, that’s how addictive it is.
  
  B2 Pettyclubber (Secret Circuit, SFV Acid, Suzanne Kraft mix)
  Secret Circuit, Suzanne Kraft and SFV Acid are longtime friends who went to the same high school in LA and spent their formative years around radio and artist collective dublab. Third Try Records label boss Victor wanted to bring them back together for this remix. Despite the geographical distance between these three, this remix feels like it came from a jam session between buddies who deliver a killer mix of Pettyclubber, longer in duration and definitely geared towards dancing.
  
  B3 Zen Fits
  Closing the EP in beauty is this wonky, dreamy track, somewhere between braindance and ambient, with blurry, tape-saturated edges and fast-paced melodies. More than just an afterthought, it brings this varied and endearing EP to an elegant conclusion.
